Go take a nap, get a pedicure, get a massage. It will happen soon. You need your rest now.

Walking will definitely help you. Try to not go to the hospital until you have established a definite pattern, because contractions tend to slow down once you get to the hospital. Otherwise, it may just take time. If you're only 36 weeks, you're still a little early, so this could go on for a while. I know it's hard, but be patient. Rushing this won't help, and going to the hospital and having them give you pitocin or something to speed it up won't help either. It actually increases your chances for fetal distress. Let this baby comes when she's good and ready.

The best thing to do is just get all the rest you can because by the sounds in a few days or weeks you will be stressed and tired as it is. As far as making the baby come faster when the time comes do a lot of walking. This will help you progress just as labor is starting. Gravity helps alot and that is why they say walk. Congrats

Keep your baby in there as long as you can stand it! Having a preemie is not fun. They are tiny and cannot breastfeed very well and get sick a lot. I had a preemie at 35 weeks, and the first year was very hard. We were in the doctor's office every other week and in the hospital several times. It's so hard to see your little one suffering. The longer they stay in there developing, the better off they will be!

Are these contractions not braxton hicks? Is this your first pregnancy? The last few weeks of your pregnancy you can experience braxton hicks (false labour pains). With both my preganacies i experienced them my last pregnancy i went to the hospital at 37 weeks because i thought i was in labour but i went full term. As for bringing them on naturally i don't think you can, though they do say sex can make them start not sure if it's true. Good Luck.

Take a hot bath they told me they help to bring the contractions on, but it needs to be really hot. Just keep walking there are heaps of old wives tales like the oil and stuff.

Lay on your side. At least thats what they had me do when I was in labor with my son. They said the contractions hurt more but are more effective. I don't remember the reasoning but it did work. Good Luck!

Go about your business as usual - this baby - like all others - will come when it`s ready and not before. If there was a sure way to make em come early we`d all have done it.....
