I feel many actions were not made to help this situation. first off no one was even warned after the first shootings, what is up with that? He shot a couple people, left, managed to mail a box to NBC and then came back. No one was warned, the school didnt take proper procedures for this. Its certainly a tragedy, I think lives could have been saved BEFORE he came back and chained up the place.

Well the guy chained up all of the doors, so they couldnt get in. I think that as soon as anyone found out about the gun there should have been a lock down. Any other school would have done that, but you cant really blame the school or the police for a crazy idiot who thinks its a good idea to go and shoot people. My heart goes out to the families who lost someone.

It is strange to me.

I really feel they didn't investigate the first murder or think it was linked because they guy was black.

But whatever...

I am sure "heads will roll". Whenever a tragedy happens the firings begin..

I think also that in a quiet town the policemen were not used to dealing with this and it just took everyone by surprise.

God I just wish someone had helped that boy before he went a rampage!

Police officers usually go into a crime scene knowing very little if anything about what they're going to walk into. I am sure they did what they had been trained to do. And no one had a clue it was going to be the massacre it turned out to be. This was a horrible situation. And I have to wonder if there's more to come at VT.

I'll have a better feeling about how they handled everything after they get all the facts and know how everything happened exactly.
