I have already treated my tank with mela-fix to take care of the fin rot some of the fish seem to have in my tank.

I am pretty sure that the fish do have velvet, so I am wondering if i am able to treat with Ich x and melafix all at once.

I have already done a water change today.

since you are using melafix, you can also add pima fix..... they are by the same company and all natural..... on their website it says you can use them together for a better and faster clear up of fungus and bacterial infections......

Mixing several different treatments together can be more stressful to the fish so that they are not strong enough to fight off the ich or survive, so pick a treatment. However, as a general rule, it is usually safe to mix medications made by the same manufacturer although you should always check the package for recommendations or warnings. If unsure if medications are compatible, contact the manufacturer through their website or hotline before mixing medications. An example of a safely mixed medicine combination is Maracyn I and Maracyn II, both made by Mardel Labs. as well as Chelated copper treatment recommended for the treatment of ick.

I do not know of an ich treatment made by Aquarium Pharm Pond .

I agree with Myra. I've used both pima and mela-fix many, many times with no adverse reactions to my fish. Pima-Fix is for fungal infections and Mela-Fix is for bacterial infections. I've never lost a fish that was sick with this combination.

That should not be a problem at all. I can't see those two treatments having any adverse interactions of muting each others effects.

If it doesn't say anything on the bottles about not mixing, it should be fine.
