OK first of all bipolar people dont necessarily have mood swings........They have a combination of mania and depression........They are either really high and can do anything or they dont want to do anything.......yes bipolar people can have sever mood swings but that is not the main characteristic......Take it from some one who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder........It is managable and shouldnot pose any problems......the link I have here has a self test to see if you need to seek a professional.....

Get a "DSM" from the library, version 4 or newer, and read the criterion for bi-polar disorder AND make sure the symptoms are "pathological" - meaning they cause significant intereference with social, family, school, and or job life, and have done so for the minimum specified period of time.

Bi-Polar people (I won't mention anyone in particular) have mood swings, sometimes very rapid. But be aware that is only a symptom and could be a part of numerous other disorders.
