Do you even realize what you are saying?
I said "Terrorist" and you automatically started talking about the shooting on Monday...Do you even realize that you are programed to THINK that way and this was done VIA WATCHING THE NEWS!?!
This has not a dam thing to do with Rep. OR Dem. It has to do with programming how people THINK in the US.
Very sad to say the least.

Randy D...If you would have looked at the TIMES from when I added comments to the time that the majority of the comments were made, I was very accurate with my deduction that I said "terrorist" and others automatically stated VT Shooter.

Because Bush and company have been pushing that as their agenda since 9-11. Sadly, it got him reelected. Fear is a very powerful tool.

To reply to those who seem confused about what a terrorist is, I consulted with Merriam-Webster.
Main Entry: ter·ror·ism
Pronunciation: 'ter-&r-"i-z&m
Function: noun
: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion
Main Entry: ter·ror
Pronunciation: 'ter-&r, 'te-r&r
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French terrour, from Latin terror, from terrEre to frighten; akin to Greek trein to be afraid, flee, tremein to tremble -- more at TREMBLE
1 : a state of intense fear
2 a : one that inspires fear : SCOURGE b : a frightening aspect c : a cause of anxiety : WORRY d : an appalling person or thing; especially : BRAT
3 : REIGN OF TERROR
4 : violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands
synonym see FEAR
A terrorist has a cause that (s)he champions, and will only abide by seeing that cause being victorious. Cho went on a murderous spree, then shot himself. He wasn't a member of an organization. He didn't make anything plainly known about why he was doing what he did, meaning he wasn't coercing anything. There were no public statements saying that he was a sleeper cell member belonging to any group. He was just criminally insane and suicidal. That's all. Old boy lost his nut and went postal.

Other than a few partisan nutcases no one has claimed the VA Tech shooting were a terrorist act.
Edit - ArgleBargle for someone who hate Fox News so much you sure watch it a lot.
Edit - hera you cannot ask such an open ended broad question and not expect the people to relate it to what has dominated the news right now. Thats why everyone assumed you meant VA Tech.

lol, you are criticizing one persons finger pointing, then give additional details that does the same thing. A terrorist act by definition, is an act done to terrify a give group of people, often accompanied by ludicrous political demands. So, I guess, under definition, it could be considered a terrorist act. But terrorist is a very large, umbrella term, describing right wing American militias, to left wing European anarchists.

Maybe, reporters did not pay very much attention in their English/Communications classes and just can't find the words to describe, creatively the events they are reporting on! Spin, spin, spin!

if you are referring to the VT shooting, who said it was a terrorist act? i haven't heard anyone claim that. and i think the fact that no one is claiming such a thing invalidates this question.
