Is it true that its been scientifically proven that people that write with their left hand are smarter?

It's not even POSSIBLE to scientifically prove that.

The best you could do would be to demonstrate that there was a correlation between being left-handed and performing slightly better on some test (this, actually, HAS been demonstrated a number of times... see links). Which would mean almost nothing - being left-handed would not make you automatically smart, nor would doing well on a test make you left-handed.

That's the problem with correlations... they're all about averages. You'd need a thousand people for it to have any meaning.

Well then why are alot of doctors and scientists left handed?? Just a thought. I think so cuz my daughter is left handed and she is very smart and almost everyleft handed person I know is smart. The other half are smart just stupid if thats possible.

You know I started thinking after I had posted and thought maybe it has to to with their learning skills. Since they are right brained they tend to learn easier and understand better. Because they are more organized they can take in the knowledge better. Just a thought....

I doubt it was proven.

and it's actually the unlikely scenario as left handed = right brain dominant which is the imaginative side. that does not mean left handers cannot be intellectuals nor that right handers have no imagination, but it does reduce the probability that lefties have personal inclination toward heavy intellectual reasoning.

I've never heard of that.
I taught myself how to use left hand when I was in the fifth grade and it hasn't seemed to have increased my rate of intelligence any.
It's just that left handed people have minds that are hardwired and oriented differently.
