Because i really dont know becuase my health teacher said that it could last twelve..... but i dont know if she is right or not..

In a normal cycle a woman should not bleed for more than 7-8 days. Anything beyond that is excessive and is considered a cycle irregularity. It could be due to many things like diet, nutrition or lifestyle.
So 3-5 days is perfectly normal. Twelve days is abnormal.

it averages from 3 to 12 days depending on the persons system

12 seems a little bit high .. Usually its about 3-7 days...

Yes it can, mine used to last around 7 days. It really depends if your on contraception.
