GUPPIES AND GOLDFISH! LOL only kidding.

Wow, what a question, there are hundreds of potential answers. If you're looking for something really different, try killifish or apistogrammas or maybe some sparkling gourami. All or those are really different, easy to keep for the most part and will be so at home in a 10 gallon they might even breed for you. Any of them are a great choice in my opinion.

Lol... guppies would work but other than guppies... neon tetras, black neon tetras, any mollies, platys, high skirt tetras. There are some really cool platys... Mickey Mouse Platys, sunset wags, etc. Basically anything that is a community fish. Just remember that you want no more than 10 inches of fish in a ten gallon tank. Also, clown fish are for salt tanks so DON'T put in clown fish

Why not put in a few platies for color, a corydora to clean the tank and some sort of small schooling fish like cardinal tetras, zebra danios, raspboras, something like that which will stay small.

^^ Clown fish are SALTWATER!^^

Anyways, you can consider Zebra Danios (All Danios prefer to live in a group with at least six members of their species.)

Good Tank Mates for Danios are: All Rainbows, all Barbs, one Red Tail Shark or one Rainbow Shark, most types of Gouramis unless they are much larger than the Danios, a school of Bala Sharks, a school of Clown Loaches, and Yoyo Loaches.

Danios are often seen in aquariums with livebearers such as Platies, Mollies, and Swordtails. Corydoras Catfish and a Plecostomus Catfish are also kept with Danios.

Endler's Livebearers.
They are not a guppy, no matter what anyone tells you.
Oh, don't buy hybridized ones.
Beautiful little live bearing fish, perfect for a small heated tank.

Or Heterandria Formosa, another small Live Bearing fish, perfect for a ten gallon tank. Very hearty little fish.

The Goby in all possibility desires cooler water than the tropicals on your tank. A separate cooler tank could be so as. provide it some attention, protecting community fishes is a "warm" new component of the interest.

African Ciclids. They are pretty hardy (the don't seem to die very easy) and they are entertaining to watch. They are, however, pretty aggressive, but like I said, entertaining. I got some for my g/f and, she has two in a 5 gal tank, and, to both our surprise, she hasn't killed them yet. She's had them for about 5 months.
Also, they come in a veriety of colors and eat a veriety of foods. Just ask the pet store people, they'll will know.
Good luck

mollies would work. but it doesn't have to be heated for mollies. they are like goldfish in a way but much prettier. or you could get goldfish but some get pretty big.
