But let's not jump quite that far. We'll miss one of the most exciting parts of all. What I'm talking about is where have we been from the moment God first created us in the beginning to that time just before we are conceived and born. Were we simply "nothing" and then all of a sudden we find ourselves inside our mother's womb? Or were we in a state of suspended animation, a limbo, until it was our turn to visit Earth? Or were we very much alive, conscious, in a lighter body, perhaps in another dimension or maybe on a planet in another star system?

We come from the past.
We are the stuff of stars and supernovae.

Well, creation by "God" is a mythology absorbed by various religions. i assume that you believe in Aliens if you believe in God having created us and the Earth. By definition we call anyone who has ever lived on Earth, or lives there now, an Earthling. Since God created Earth, he wasn't living on it when he did so. So, again by definition, he or she was an Alien.

Now, in between our creation and our conception there is a time when the two halves are not united, i.e., the sperm and the egg. During that time period, the two live happily separate lives and never the two shall meet - except when
comingling of the sexes occurs, for want of a better phrase.
Your radical leap to another dimension or the stars just plain befuddles me, and I am unable to follow what you are trying to conjur up in peoples minds in this very twisted question. My suggestion to you is to ask religious questions in the Religion section of Yahoo Questions and Answers. If you wish to know something about one of the planets or one of the Stars, I (we) would be more than happy to respond.

Dude, you need to take a biology or geology class.
The animals from which we evolved have been around since long before the idea of god was conceived.
We come from our parents, who come from their ancestors and so forth. Life comes from primordial organic molecules that first self-replicated. These organic molecules may have started out as inorganic molecules. All these molecules were present on the early Earth and came from the solar nebula that our solar system formed from. Ultimately, all the matter heavier than H and He in the universe came from stars (stellar nucleosynthesis). If we go back to the Big Bang, we get into the formation of all matter. For now, I won't venture beyond this point in space-time.

Here is a "thought experiment" for you: after a human egg is fertilized, and becomes a zygote, it begins splitting in two to form a pre-embryo. Up until fourteen days, it retains the capacity to become twins; after that, the "decision" is set. If there were ANYTHING before that ("soul", or whatever), where does the other one go/come from?

We are nothing more or less than some remarkable biochemistry.

Psychologically, we were nothing. Physically, we were also nothing. If you study the miracle of birth, you will see that we are in fact born of one cell from a woman and one cell from a man. Those two cells multiply until we come to pass. Our being or existence usually is best explained, by ourselves, as what we have experienced and learned. Existentialists would argue that our "existence precedes our essense," and I would agree. We are here before we actually have a purpose in life, that purpose ( or your 'visit to earth') is determined after we get here by ourselves.

God didn't creat us, the universe is begotten. Man came from a common being as did the apes. Living things came from the oganization of mocules coming together. The End this isn't really a space and astronomy it is biology!

Your question made a really big assumption, that there was some intelligent design for us being here.

We came from (typically) horny parents, and they did, and so on, and so on.

In general, we come from sperm fertilizing eggs.

Regardless of where we came from, it is certain: religion and God are NOT the answer.
