The converter requires min 500f to fire. #1 cyl is much cooler than the rest close to 400, 2&3 read 490 and #4 is 460. Temps taken at 2000 rpm. water temp 180, plugs are platnum and uniform in firing condition. Idle is smooth mpg avg is 26 with 5spd mostly hwy miles @ 65/70 mph. Both converters, fuel/air sensor, and O2 sensor are new. The light won't stay off.

The water temp should be more like 210 in that thing. You should have a 195 thermostat in there. Your converters and O2 sensors probably went bad in the first place because the engine is running cold and you're in a perpetually rich condition.

If the timing is adjustable, retard it a little bit and the EGT will go up.
