I delete all quarantied items (I haven't gotten one in years) if they do not affect my programs. You need to run all the programs on your computer and work with them, if you don't encounter any errors, the file is unnecessary, and you can delete it. The idea of quarantied files is that they cannot harm your computer, so it shouldn't affect anything if you leave them there, I would just delete them if your programs work fine (which should be the case)
Hope I helped!

you should delete them after restarting your computer with no problems. run all your important programs, if they work fine, then you can be 99.9%sure the quarantined file is a scumware! (this is a real term used by programmers) and that file is not a false positive.
To be 100% sure, run all your programs, if you have the time.
Why should you delete them asap? i assume you are running on xp. are you familiar with system restore? i think it has been known to release quarantined viruses if you use that feature. There is really no reason why you should leave those nasty things imprisoned in your pc. you wouldn't want convicts to stay locked up in your house, would you? that's just an analogy.

Leave them in quarantine for a couple of weeks before deleting them. Just to make sure that no important system files were deleted inadvertently when the malware was removed.
After a couple weeks, or when you are satisfied that all is well with your computer, empty the quarantine, vault, chest or whatever your anti-malware apps call them.

It does no harm when you leave quarentined items alone
Its okay
You could delete it, your choice
It's solely up to you
But i think its better if you delete them even if i haven't done that
I think i should
Does that help?

It is totally up to you.
If it is in the quarantine folder, then your computer is safe.
