i have a question for any of you girls who have had ovarian cysts or endometriosis....something along those lines. i was wondering if it is normal for the side you are experiences pain on to be inflammed. i noticed that side of my pelvis stick out a little. is this a normal symptom? i am going to the doctor, but my appt. isn't for another week.

I have endometriosis and yes inflammation is very common with the disease. And yes, endometriosis can cause a certain kind of cyst called an endometrioma and if large enough they can cause a ton of pain.
Bloating is also a common symptom with endometriosis.
The only way to confirm a diagnosis of endometriosis (if you think you may have it) is through outpatient surgery called a laparoscopy.
