It's been reported that Brett Myers is moving to the bullpen, which means that Jon Lieber will probably return to the starting rotation. Is this a good move? bad move? does it even matter if you think the season is already lost? And why do the Phillies consistently remind us even when we have more hope than ever that they are the worst franchise in the history of sports?

It's not a bad move...Lieber is not a relief man, and Myers has been ineffective to say the least. Myers will turn things around, and the Phils want to keep him. Lieber is trade bait and starting again might raise hi Value. If they can unload Lieber after a few wins, get some real bullpen help, and then move Myers back to the rotation it might not be a bad move.

As an Atlanta Brave fan i am happy to hear this however myers is on my fantasy team. Gordon could be traded for a starter to a ballclub like Houston. Myers could land in the closer's role, and with a team with the most potent offense in the NL, a good bullpen wouldn't hurt.

The Phillies just don't have the killer instinct!
To win, everybody has to have a good year, and they have to be out for blood.

Nice guys finish last.

I LOVE THE YANKEES. BUT I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST PHILLY. YOU GUYS HAVE GREAT PLAYERS, BUT SOMEHOW YOURE JUST NOT MAKING IT HAPPEN. EVEN WITH RYAN HOWARD, JIMMY ROLLINS, AARON ROWAND, FREDDY GARCIA, TOM GORDON, COLE HAMELS, CHASE UTLEY AND PAT BURREL.
