Well, assumably you wouldn't let the guinea pig run loose without supervision, and the betta's bowl is probably up high anyway so I don't see how the guinea pig would get the fish even if he was interested. I have 2 cats and they don't bug my bettas but they do drink out of their fish bowls. The fish just stay at the bottom when the cats do that. The kitties don't even seem to notice the fish.

Of course you can, provided you have the time to look after both of them. Just remember that a guinea pig is going to live a lot longer than a beta fish, and it requires more supplies (which equals more cost) and a lot more care and attention.
You will need a cage (preferably not an aquarium, I like the wire cages with the plastic bottom. A water bottle, a food dish, a couple chew sticks (maybe a wooden type one and a food one), food and shavings.
If you have the room, you can purchase a large bag of shavings at your local farm/feed store. The large shavings bags are meant for horse stalls, but they work awesome for guinea pigs, and they cost a fraction of the largest bags at Walmart or a pet store (and you get more!). The pine shavings are also much better than the cedar chips, which I have heard can make guinea pigs sick.
Do a little research before you bring one home, make sure you want to commit to care for it. They are great pets though. I miss my guinea pig. She was great!

Why couldn't you? As long as you take precautions when you have different kinds of animals there aren't problems. Guinea Pigs and Bettas can be fine just make sure the betta is high up if you let your pig run around.

I even have had the two, and that i like the two. i lately lost by using guinea pig, yet have my 2nd betta now. extremely, i might advise the betta! i like my betta fish lots. he's the main marvelous betta ever. they're straight forward, straight forward fish that are annoying, yet extremely loving to their proprietors. they are going to extremely exchange into your suitable pal. As for tanks, i might advise the Aqueon a million gallon betta kit with clear out and tank lid. it is precisely what you're searching for and that i've got it now, and purely might desire to alter the water as quickly as each and every 2 months! easily properly worth $20. i for my area wish you return to a determination to get a betta, yet once you do no longer, better of excellent fortune on your guinea! :D

i am afraid not. I once made the mistake of getting a betta fish and my guinea pig jumped in the tank and ate it! Wasn't a pretty site.

Of course you can have both. Just make sure you get an extra water bottle for the fish, as guinea pigs rarely, if ever, share things with aquatic species.

I don't see why it would matter. One's a fish, one's a rodent. Neither will have any interest in the other.
Now, a rat might think your betta fish looks mighty tasty, but guinea pigs are herbivores.
