I'm not sure whether we went or not. i want to believe that we did but about 6 months ago, i came across a video that brought some doubt into my mind.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1138935117048624484&q=genre%3Adocumentary+is%3Afree
if you have 45 minutes, just keep an open mind and watch this. I wont say that i completely believe the conspiracy theory, but it does raise some interesting questions that i haven't found solid answers for. What do you think?

i know of the evidence both ways, basically i'm on the fence and the only way that i would be convinced either way was to have a telescope strong enough to see if the lunar crafts are still sitting up there.

basically from what i gather, the reasons for a possible fake are due to the fact that we were in a cold war. russia was winning the space race and had sent sputnik, the first satilite, into orbit. The people of the time believed that the first to the moon would show superiority and it would end the cold war. Being far behind in the space race, the conspiricy theorists think that we were desperate to get to the moon but it was an impossibility so they faked it for the sake of the countries safety and moral. We definately had the technology and the resources to do it, as well as a government that could have easily have kept it secret, the question is did they?

Americans landed on the moon six different times -- Apollos 11,12,14,15,16,17 Of all the millions of people involved in these missions, don't you think that if everything was faked that hundreds if not thousands of them would have come forward by now with proof?
Strongly urge you to take a look at the other side of the story at these websites. Don't lock yourself into just one nutso conspiracy website ==>http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

Because we have video evidence, and because we can shoot lasers at the moon and the mirror we put there reflects it back to us. The only way a laser from the earth can come back to earth is if a mirror reflects it. We put a mirror on the moon, so when we shoot a laser at the moon, we get a laser beam back. There is no other explanation: humans have been on the moon. The reason why the flag was waving was because of gravity and a lack of air friction. It's a nearly horizontal version of a pendulum: The ground was not perfectly horizontal. Therefore, the flag was not placed perfectly horizontal. Therefore, there was a point where the mass of the flag was lowest. Because of the stick in the top of the flag, the flag doesn't bend downward. Therefore, the point where the mass is lowest is almost indistinguishable from every other position. But it's still there. And therefore, the same happens as with a pendulum: if the flag is not placed optimally at the start, it will have energy, and therefore it will keep swinging around the point where the mass is lowest. In other words: the flag will swing, and it's movement will be describable by a sine. In other words, the flag will wave. Therefore, you suck.

I have seen that old video before. And I have seen FAR more than 45 minutes of video, because I was in high school during the Apollo missions and I seen all the hours and hours of live coverage and every documentary and print article I could find. And I still search out those things. Also, since I am extremely interested in the subject, I have done many hours of research on the subject over the years, including seeing many of the "landings were faked" arguments, videos and so on. I can say without hesitation that all the silly reasons they give for saying the missions were fake are all bad science or wildly incorrect speculation. Flag doesn't wave, it shakes ONLY when an astronaut shakes the pole, there are no stars in the pictures because they are too dim to show in a normally exposed photograph, shadows go different ways due to the uneven surface, If we faked it to make the Russians look bad, the Russians would have called us on it, and on and on and ON. It is all a bunch of hogwash. The landings were REAL.
See the source for more information. It is an official NASA history source with many video clips, thousands of photographs, hundreds of pages of annotated radio conversations and more.

I've seen a couple of documentaries about how we never did visit the moon, but so far I'm not convinced. It's not to say they didn't have some compelling evidence, but there's also compelling evidence to the contrary.
I guess you just have to pay attention to both sides and try to decide what you believe. I am aware of motives to fake the landing, but I don't think it would have been nearly as easy as a lot of people would have thought. I mean, there were a LOT of people involved. Could you really get that many to keep quiet? Even with blackmail and whatnot.
Yeah, I guess I'd have to have more solid evidence to believe we didn't go, but I can definitely see why some people would believe we didn't. For now though, I'm going to stick with that we did.

All you need to see in this video are the three little letters in the right hand corner that says "Fox", the tv network that brought you "The X-files", "24", "Prison Break" and Bill O´Reilley. The point? Conspiracies are big business for them. It sells add time. That´s what this mockumentary is all about. Every point is nonsense and can be explained easily with just some basic knowledge and common sense.

We went to the moon twice. Apollo 13 went there and never landed ,just came back. I was on a carrier in the Pacific and helped pick up the astronauts. I don't know why we would want a base on the moon, there is nothing there.

We did land on the moon, if you say we didn't, then that means the aliens land in Rosewell! If we didn't land on the moon, all of our understanding of the moon that we have now wouldn't be here. We also have moon rocks. The moon rocks shpe differently on the Moon than heresince there is no wind and water to erode them only meteors. Plus with out the moon landing the space age we live in now wouldn't be happening!

I am sure that we did land on the moon, because I don't think faking it would be worth it. Plus someone from NASA would have wrote a book about it if it was fake.
Also the only thing worse then trying and failing would be to fake it and have Russia catch us. I don't think that we would have risked that so that means that we did land on the moon.

National Geographic or the Science Channel had a show all about this, and pretty well ripped the "we never landed" talk to shreds.

We went to the moon. Period. Just visit http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm or badastronomy.com to find some very compelling evidence saying that we went.
