I agree that violence is too glorified but the VT killing was incredibly surprising. It's really sad and scary to think that these students go there for their education to become better people but end up getting killed for it. Life has become so scary.

We are surprised because it was surprising, that's why. There are thousands of college campuses. All are peaceful and have been for centuries. Your reasoning isn't valid: mass murders happen because people suddenly have to start killing.
It's not something you learn from a video game. Historically, this sort of thing has happened, randomly but regularly, in every culture and every time period. Google on Bath, Michigan, 1927 and you'll discover the story of a mass murderer who killed a school-full of kids without ever playing Grand Theft Auto.
It's understandable to look for a rational explanation for this sort of thing, but you won't find one. It's happened before and it will happen again: if not with guns, then with gasoline, or a truckload of rocks, or however it's been done through the centuries.

Let's get it straight, so many campuses in the U.S.
and no contingency plans for such happenings
and too few campus security to deal with it, and
so much terrotority to cover that it is impossible to
control such situations especially when budget is
a question as all money is spent on wars now and
none on internal security for americans on their
own soil.

I'm not surprised. And it has nothing to do with games people choose to play, music they listen to or what movies they decide to watch. I'm not surprised because this is nothing new. Mass shootings, murder, rampages, occur in America over and over and over again. And will continue to happen over and over and over again. No, I am Not surprised, only saddened once again.

Please! That's complete bull. I play violent games and listen to music. I even enjoy movies but you don't see me toting a pistol going to cap my classmates. The guy was unstable, even was in a psychiatric ward...Don't tell me it's because of all this other stuff...If it were from that, wouldn't there be massacres almost EVERYDAY?!?!?
Music can alter and change you moods but can it load a gun and c ock it too?

Do you really believe that????? I thought that people still had free will. When did a TV load a gun. When did music put a gun in your hand. Everyone still has to make their own choices. I think it's funny that it's ALWAYS someone Else's fault. When did people stop taking responsibility for their own actions?????? People make me sick.!!!!
