I have the ugliest, darkest knees ever. Did anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know a quick solution? I've tried this: I put drops of lemon in a baking soda mix and left it overnight--But it didn't work :(
Someone please, PLEASE tell me what to do. I'm ready to do anything.

Something homemade would be nice! PLEASE :(
It is so horrible :(

Use a body poof w/ a moisturizing bath gel all over.

You can make a sugar scrub for your knees. Just mix some olive oil with white sugar to make a paste.

Be sure to apply a lotion w/ AHA or lactic acid on your knees to promote cell turnover.

Nothing will work overnight.

Especially for what you are suggesting.

A cousin of mine had this problem. She is like my best friend and I can tell you all she did. I even went to the dermatologist with her.

She did the baking soda, lemon juice thing.

But she also used a lotion or cream that had AHA's (alpha hydroxy acids) in it. You can find them at the drugstore.

Anything that encourages cell turnover (skin cells) will help.

Better things to use include skin brightening creams (meaning they increase cellular turnover and give you a bright glow). Neutrogena has one that Gabrielle Union advertises (it is made for the face, but the body would be okay too) and Aveeno has one made of soy.

Any product with hydroquinone or kojic acid (I believe this is what this is) will really do the job. I would go so far as to say this is what you really need to use.

You can go online and order some really good products (skin lightening or brightening stuff) on Sephora.com, but you may not like the prices.

I believe it is the Peter Thomas Roth brand that uses the kojic acid.

It is not like sulfuric acid or something that will kill you, it is like alpha hydroxy acid or glycolic acid, and will increase cellular turnover.

Some cheaper products with hydroquinone are like Ambi and Artra. Black Opal has a cream and a gel but for the face and they are a bit more expensive than the Ambi and Artra brands. There is another brand called Black/White. Look at this whole section as there are several brands.

You can go to a beauty supply or a dollar store and pick up either one for under 4 dollars.

If you don't mind spending a bit more, you can use a product like Porcelana.

Either way, I suggest you use them for about 6 weeks, day and night.

Eventually, if you use these things, they will fade your knees more and more, but maybe not all.

My cousin eventually went to a dermatologist who prescibed her a cream with 3% hydroquinone. This is what a friend of mine from India, who lived in London, used as well.

And then much later, my cousin had cosmetic treatments done with a dermatologist. A laser I think it was.

But start with the hydroquinone, it will take less time than the lemon juice and baking soda, but nothing is overnight unfortunately.

And I can't even recommend doing anything else at home. This is a complex problem due to hyperpigmentation.

The first responder was correct too. Don't sit on your knees too much. Any constant contact will increase hyperpigmentation.

I'd pass forward and trailer her at the left and yours at the correct. It's bigger the wrong way, sure, however now not such a lot so that you can not do it this manner. Many persons do not even notice you are intended to trailer the bigger horse at the within. I can not let you know what number of I've visible do the reverse! I've had horses check out, and it is scarred me for lifestyles! JK. Seriously, even though, I just about certainly not use the break out door on my inventory trailer (it is a complete dimension door) due to the fact that I'm scared one will comply with me out. I pass out the again each time feasible. Another alternative is to open the rear door earlier than you open the break out door to unhook the pony. Ultimately, the nice plan is not to get a different trailer like this.

I saw this on the Tyra show. You put shortening(the greasy stuff you put on a pan before you cook) on your knees or elbows and go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning it's supposed to be better. I know it's kind of weird but I heard it really works.
