Go to a place that sells fabric and get some netting like the kind aquarium nets are made with. It costs about $1 a yard, so it's cheap. Cut a piece about 1-2 inches more than the size of your bowl's opening and use a rubber band to hold it in place. It won't hurt your frog like something solid if he jumps and hits it, and it allows air to get in. The netting comes in lots of colors, so you can find one that will match any gravel, your room, etc. I'd rinse it well under warm water before using it, just in case there are any chemicals sprayed on it.

Guppies, ghost shrimp and dwarf African frogs would be nice mutually. only be certain you have a sturdy filter out and a heater on the tank. they're all tropical creatures. The African clawed frog, that's probable what the 1st guy has, gets as great as a dinner plate and consume something it could get in its' mouth. I definitely have seen them chase fish all around a tank attempting to consume them.

You could use cheese cloth or mesh netting or a small screen form a hardware store. They should do fine in the bowl 1.5 gallons works for them. Have fun and good luck with your frogs.

People need to be nice to each other we all love our animals and have researched how to care for them. Even if you don't agree with the way we care for our animals you should respect our decisions and offer advice if we ask or are unknowingly putting our animals in immediate danger. Sorry if this sounds like a rant but I felt it had to be said.
