I agree with DanielleZ, you can't make her want to mate. The best thing to do is keep her away from the male, in clean water and give her a really varied and balanced diet. Try that for 3-4 weeks and see if that doesn't help her get in the mood. That will also take care of the potential problem of her being too young.

She may be too young to mate. As far as forcing a fish to mate...good luck. It is natural when the time is right she will mate. Forcing it will lead you to dissapointment. there are various thing you can do to encourage this but forcing isn't happening.
