Hypocrisy is the short answer, but hoping against hope, that more money, (and troops) will rectify the worst foreign policy blunder in the nation's history, neocons are proving to be as gutless, as they are inept!

For the very same reason ALL Americans should want a "blank check" made out to Bush under the heading of Iraq....to keep those BRAVE young men and women (whom are ultimately fighting for the future of our country, as well as the future of our freedoms and Constitutional rights) provided for with the best possible equipment and necessities. Truly. the only thing I find offensive in your posting is the VAST and sweeping generalization implemented when you refer to me as a "neocon". That is a very dangerous practice and I urge you to not use such a hateful word as some may interpret your language as ignorance. I don't see it as ignorance, as it is your freedom to speak your mind, however it is true that one can learn more about a person from what they say about others than from what others say about them.

There are politicians that pretend to be conservatives and some that pretend to be liberal (anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein has a concealed weapons permit). Real conservatives are isolationists by nature (some want all the U.S. foreign bases closed and the UN scrapped). They also believe that the government can't fix problems hence the reason why they want smaller government. Homeland Security didn't prevent a mentally ill person from shooting up Virginia Tech. It's one of those, "I told you so" moments from the conservatives.

These people that want to give Bush a blank check are NOT conservatives. These people are lobbyists of the military industrial complex.

Even leaving aside for a 2nd the full debate with regard to the form of the warfare, the conservative sheep in this united states fail to understand that we merely can no longer have the money for it to any extent further financially, no longer to show the human value. we are in a amazing debt subject, and Bush, like some variety of actuality-denying alcoholic, stills desires to decrease taxes! If all of us's taxes went up $5000 next year to pay for the warfare quite human beings persevering with to borrow the money from China, perhaps the previous couple of ultimate lemmings might finally awaken. Does all of us keep in mind that Bin weighted down, North Korea and a few of our different enemies have raised the potential for a monetary attack on the U.S., quite than a defense force one? The Cons shop speaking approximately Al Qaeda celebrating as quickly as we leave Iraq, do no longer they think of that Bin weighted down is smiling with delight on a daily basis that we are residing there, watching our troops get killed and billions upon billions of our money bypass down the drain?

as the commander in chief he is the one who determines how much he needs to fight and secure that country. And the premise of your question is wrong, we "neocons" see that clause in the Constitution where as congress can levy funds for the military, so we don't have a problem with military spending. It is all these socialist policies that account for so much that the collection of taxes for that purpose is not permitted under the constitution.

Hypocracy, plain and simple. Their business partners, the ones who are reaping the profits would as soon the war last much longer and with deep pockets from the government they can fill their own pockets with plenty of greenbacks.

It's not a blank check. We expect RESULTS! We want to WIN.

We know that victory over terrorism means security here at home. Better the fight is over there than here. 9/11 taught me that I just don't understand why more liberals haven't seen it.
