It's never done..I wash dishes sometimes 4 times a day..Cause no one can rinse a cup out on their own..And I hate dirty dishes in the sink..I wash up to 6 loads of laundry a day..Cleaning the toilet is just the thrill of my day..Cause boys don't know how to aim them thar things..Sweep floors, cause God forbid they pick anything up..They will walk over a piece of paper for a week..Tried it once..Had to pick it up a week later..Polish the furniture at least once a week..We live near a cement factory..lots of dust..
They do take the trash out..But I have to ask..Like it's overflowing here..duh..
Housework is my vent!!!! LOL!!

Because it is neverending.......as soon as something is cleaned or straightened (especially when children, pets or sloppy spouses are involved) it get messed up almost immediately. When you work on a project at a desk job, for example, you can complete it and feel proud - a sense of accomplishment and then move on to the next task. The problem with housework is the second you are done, the 'new' task (meaning the one you just did and is a mess again) is always the 'old' task. It's a nightmare.
I have a theory, if you want a clean house every day you have to clean house every day....... I hate cleaning but I love a clean house so I suck it up and do what I need to do.
I am curious if you are the one doing the constant chores on a regular basis? Because until you have walked a mile in a housewives shoes, I wouldn't be complaining about how easy it is!

I just wanted to say Bravo to all of the previous answers. You all nailed it on the head. It's never ending and usually thankless. No one ever really realizes how much housework a person does all day until one day it doesn't get done. I'm the mom of 2 little boys. I like a clean house, but I settle for a bit better than disaster zone. Hey, I'm realistic.

Just think can you imagine cleaning the house all day just to have your family come home and destroy everyhting you just did. Really they also have no social life and well are just caretakers of there family. I think alot of us men do not realize how easy we have it compared to the average house wife also remember guys they are not getting paid for this. So maybe it's time you get some flowers or take a couple of days off and give your wife a break for a day or two. I will bet
those men with kids and pets you will be kissing your wife's feet after you see what they do everyday.
Nice question but really you just do not understand?

It is an attempt to justify time spent. When you go to work you receive a paycheck and benefits to show for your efforts. When you clean the house you typically get nothing tangible and often not even gratitude. What I find interesting is the assumption that women do it all. I am a single father of two kids. I work FT and take care of all household responsibilities. I complain to no one and will never accept complaining from anyone again.

It often thankless, unending, and with no compensation other than someone's own feeling that they are doing an honorable task serving their family with tireless respect. That's what makes it tough. It even worse for people that have to pull down a full time job. God Bless Em.

I'll agree with the two previous answers to this question. That sh** never ends especially if you have kids!! And if that's the case, then after all that work, it still looks like you didn't do anything!! Trust me, its SUCKS!
