I have seen many companies that colllect a fee to join (scam?), but am looking to find someone out there who is ACTUALLY doing it so I can avoid the scam and receive real information.

There are indeed a lot of scams in terms of mystery shopping jobs.

I suggest you go to the National Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA) http://www.mysteryshop.org , an organization of mystery shopping companies. Check out their listing of shopping assignments by country and by state from member companies. Companies are accepted as members of the association only if they have been in existence for two years and they can submit proof of business existence. Make a list of these companies and check out their requirements to be a mystery shopper.

The MSPA North America has a job board listing available mystery shoppers position http://www.jobslinger.com/mspa/exec/sfs/jobboard

If in doubt, double-check the company with the local Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org , usually under the Service Intelligence category. Find out if any complaints have been lodged with the mystery shopping company, before agreeing to do work for them.

I was going to sign up with a company and never did and I don't remember which one it was. There are legitimate companies, but it is hard to find them. Use a search engine like Ask.com, but make sure you check out any business on the Better Business Bureau website first. www.bbb.com.

No. they get you to pay for the shopping list ($25, i think) then they only get you 3 jobs that pay about $20 total. My friend got ripped hard on this. he was dumb enough to try it with 2 other companies and they both did the same thing.

The real companies do not charge you any fees.

Email me, I will sent you a list for free. No strings, no nothing at all.
