You asked this earlier. Conservativism is dying out. I blame bad parenting, lower moral standards and TV.

It would be surprising but it isn't that the authoritarian fascists calling themselves conservatives accuse liberals of wanting to take away rights when in fact it is they, the conservatives, who always have been and still are trying to deny people their natural rights and liberties. It is they who want to prevent gays from getting a marriage license; who want censorship for consenting adults; who try to purge libraries of what they disapprove of; who denounce contraception and yet want to eliminate the constitutional right of women to choose abortion in some circumstances. Xenypoo is a pluperfect example....but the good news is: social conservatism (read sexual dictatorship by prudes) is on the way out and you social conservatives know it. Stew in your own bile.

Its always a pendulum. Fortunately we have a growing number of home schooled kids who avoid the brainwashing of public schools. They will be the leaders in 20 years.
Homeschooling is MUCH better for a kid. I have talked with kids from both settings and the public school kids seem to be much more the losers. They can't carry on a conversation past whatever, huh, tsup, fck.

There is no such thing as Social Conservatism. Either you are a Socialist, a hater of freedom, or a Conservative (Republican), and love the God given rights, written down by our forefathers of America. Your synopsis would make it like Conservatives, would agree with Liberals, when they are totally OPPOSITE! Conservatives want to keep their rights, Liberals want to take them away, and be controlled by the government. Look each word up in the dictionary. I'll give you a link.

We need to get control of our wants and desires and the methods we use to get what we want.
The simple lesson of right and wrong needs to be taught in regard to our treatment of others.
These lessons need to come from parents, teachers, neighbors and politicians.
In my neighborhood every parent looks out for every child as if they were our own. The lesson is we need to look out for each other not just ourselves.

It's like the slogan from the 60's...If it feels good do it. It's come back to haunt us.

Not in the least. Don't paint a general picture of the country based on what you see on TV. It's TV that is distorted, not the country in general.

Traditionalists used to think God was for slavery, and against interracial marriage, women's rights, invitro fertilization, and birth control pills, just to name a few.
Social conservatism always loses in the end.
