She should, based on performance. Singing a hit song from a former Idol winner, like Carrie's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" was really risky and it didn't pay off. Often at times, it leads to comparisons and no one remembers the cover. Last season, didn't someone do "Because of You" by Kelly? Was that any good? Lakisha shouted through the whole thing. That song is meant to be a country song, not gospel. She nearly butchered the song.

It wouldn't surprise me. Phil gave a good performance so he could sail through. Meanwhile, I think if Sanjaya doesn't go home this week he could go all the way. It's a shame because Lakisha is one of the more talented of them.
