How much notice needs to be given when retiring with more than 20 years service.?

Also, once notice is given can I expect to perform my usual duties until the day I leave.

Two weeks, and yes perform usual duties.

If you want, you can give 30 days, but really, just go with two weeks....

It depends on how much time it would take to train your replacement. I would give at least a months notice so they can hire and train someone.
