What type of paint can i use to paint my car?

i have no clue..can i use spray paint or something else?

you have to take it to a body shop or paint shop FOR CARS. spray paint is not for cars and you cant paint a car yourself. it takes a while and a lot of skill is involved.

Lacquer paint is very hard to find because most paint companies stopped making it about 10 years ago. You will get the best look from a basecoat-clearcoat paint. You don't need to sand between coats and you can actually cause problems if you do. Most all cars in the last 15 yrs came with basecoat-clearcoat paint. You could use an acrylic enamel paint if you want to save a few bucks. Acrylic enamel paint don't need to be clearcoated but you won't have as many colors to choose from.

Have it professionally done. If you want to paint it yourself, and looking for a good paint, find a local automotive paint store. You can find them in the yellow pages in the phone book.

Still have it done right, especially if you are looking for quality paint. There is a lot to it. Plus they have the paint booth and the ovens to dry the paint. Good luck

Spray paint? What are you trying to do? Like for painting the whole thing? Go to Mayco if you want a cheap paint job.
Otherwise take it to a real bodyshop. Spay painting your car will make it look like do do. If you want to do it yourself go to napa and buy real automotive paint, primer, clearcoat, activator, paint gun. and all the supplies you will need to tape everything off, plus sand paper. I think you will find it easier and cheaper to go to Mayco.

i would recommend not using spray paint the best to use is a ppg paint but have it done perfessionally it is to easy to screw up on cars its not like a house

you need to use a 2 part automotive paint.

Dupont, PPG, Nason, or the like spray paint can be used but it'll look like crap.
