Who besides Bobby Holik still uses a wooden stick?

Spetza, Hamerlik, Stumpel, Modin and some say Souray does too but I haven't been able to confirm that. They do say thought that aprox 4% of players are still using wooden sticks and not just the old veterans either.

Brendan Shanahan still does. The wood stick he prefers isnt made anymore and he actually is known to go to sporting goods stores to buy them stock off the shelf. Surprised a Wings fan hasnt mentioned it before me....Mickey Redmond used to joke about it a lot on telecasts. There are still several guys who use wood on occasion, some guys try the new technology and keep switching back and forth between newer composites and wood. Also some of the older guys will go back to wood if they are in a scoring funk (they will tell you they arent superstitious though!).

None that I know of. I didnt think anyone still did, good for Holik. Keeping it old school.

Lots of current NHL players still use wooden sticks such as Jason Spezza, Sid The Kid and many more...

I know a few other players do, but i dont see why. composite 1 peice sticks are much lighter and just as strong as wood sticks. they also give you harder shots because of the flex, i dont even play on a travel team and i still use a composite stick, and i must say it is much nicer then wood.

Sid the Kid still uses wooden sticks every now and then, and there are allot of players that still uses the wooden sticks.
