The maximum length of any vehicle on U.K. roads (without special permission) is 18.75 metres or about 62 feet. Most artics and wagon & drags are about 55 feet long.
Anything over 62 feet long requires permsission from the police in order to move on the road.

No different to europe, and for a rigid vehicle the maximum length is 12 metres

In Australia.......the articulated semi trailers...are lots longer than that......prime mover & three trailers is normal in the country....in the city we have B doubles..which is one & a half trailers...

Nope it isn't, 40 foot is the norm, but with an escort as long as is practicable
