I asked this after game one and now that Fernando Rodney is 1-3 with a 7.71 ERA through 7 innings...am I still the only person who thinks he isn't worth a $H!T ???

7 inning for a "set-up" man is enough to base an opinion on. He's been in 6 games. Also, waiting 30 innings for Rodney means waiting at least half of a season...He's only pitched more than 30 innings in a season twice in his career (44 in 2005 and 71 last year)

Oh...and his one win was when he came into the game with the Tigers losing 2-0 and only got the win because of a 3-run HR

You're basing your opinion of the guy on numbers he's put up over 7 innings? How about waiting until he's thrown at least 30 innings before making a judgment. This is like saying a starter is worthless because he has a bad outing on Opening Day.

Rodney has 2.86 and 3.52 ERAs over the past couple of seasons, both well above league average. Any team would love to take him off the Tigers' hands, if you guys are so fed up with him.

D-town - I see your point about the 30-inning mark. But I'd at least give him 3-4 more appearances to see if he straightens it out. I've been watching him the past few years, and I think he's pretty good. Now, if you want to keep him and instead send Zumaya to Toronto, that would be awesome! That guy is just nasty.

Thats definitely not a good stat line to have, but without Todd Jones blowing the save today Rodney wouldn't even have had to come in.

theres obviously something wrong with him. his fastball is in the low 90's and he can't locate it either right now.with out that that awsome change-up is nothing. all we can hope is that he comes around, especially without walker. left handers hit like .180 against him. we need him late in games so yeah he better get his S**t together. when he does have that fastball he is one of the better relievers in the game
