i get the acrylic nails & i luv them...i guess i`ve been getting them for around 10 years or so...i get them done sport length, so i can still do the things i need to do like housework, typing, whatever...i think they add to your appearance, but that`s just my personal preference...

My first encounter with fake nails was many years ago at a large dinner party, where many of us were seated at a huge table. Something happened, and a woman's fake nail snapped off and flew across the table, hitting me right below my right eye. I was not familiar with fake nails, so I thought it was real. A second later, I was a bull in a china shop...table went flying, plates went flying, you can image my shock, and my jumping up outta fear and shock!...oh and I prefer the look of french nails (white tips?) in fakies.

To me they are a hassle but a nail tech explained to me that they are neccesary because the natural nail is to oily to hold polish, that I notice to be true.
When its all over and done with I love them and I get so many compliments!
As far as a style I couldnt really say, I like mine medium length and with bright colors and patterns w/ rinestones~Lol~ I just love being colorful and differnt

Ruin your nails. And waste of $. I hate when women get it long and tacky, sooo gross!! I have this close friend who LOVES long nails and think they look so good and I haven't been able to gather the courage to tell her they are HIDEOUS for 11 years now. Sigh. I just try not to be in public a lot with her.

They are OK for special occasions. But if you like them, try to get a shorter length (sport length). A french manicure (white tips) is best. If you like polish, do a natural nail color like buff or very light pink. NO bright polishes, super long lenghths or decorations. That's just tacky.

If they you have them in a professional salon they will look like natural and they your hands will be more beautiful. They will make you look better. But don't have them very long because it will be difficult to do anything.

They are very pretty and usually at least last a month or two. If you get them the right size and color they can almost look natural

i think they are ok but if i wear them long enough it feels like my nails cant breathe but thats juss me
