Our gods/ess are in all things including ourselves. Do you believe that you are real?We are shown Love and wisdom. I know they are real because through them i am gaining knowledge to make my life better, i get the answers, unlike the christian god who is stone deaf!
Wicca acknowledges a supreme divine power, unknowable, ultimate from which the entire universe sprang. We refer to that divine power as The All. Wiccans link to that force through their deities.
The All is an energy field polarized by two forces, the Goddess and the God, which in their ultimate being are aspects of each other. The God is a polar image of the Goddess. The Goddess and God are the same forces flowing in opposite but not opposed directions. That polarity creates the cycle that underlies the movements of the stars and the changing seasons, the harmony of the natural world and the evolution within out human lives.
Wicca recognizes Deity as dual. It reveres both the Goddess and the God. They are equal, warm and loving, not distant or resident in "heaven" but omnipresent throughout the universe. The Goddess and the God are both within ourselves and manifest in all nature. There is nothing that isn't of the Goddess and God.
The Goddess and God are the same force flowing in opposite, but not opposed directions.
The Goddess
"The Goddess does not rule the world; she is the world." Manifested in each of us, she can be known internally by every individual, in all her magnificent diversity. The Goddess is the universe itself, not something separate from or superior to it.
There are three aspects of the Goddess represented by the three phases of the moon:
1. Maiden (waxing moon) - virgin patroness of birth
2. Nymph/Mother (full moon) - Sexual temptress, she mates and procreates
3. Crone (waxing moon) - The dark forces, wise
The Goddess is the Universal Mother, Earth mother, The Lady. She is the source of fertility, endless wisdom and caresses. She is represented by the Moon. Her symbol is a moon with a crescent on each side - the triple goddess.
The God
The God is the consort of the Goddess. He is represented in many versions: Pan/Horned God, Child God, Blue God and the Green God. He is Sky Father, The Lord.
The God is son, brother, lover who becomes his own father: eternal sacrifice; eternally reborn into new life. His story is told through the Wheel of the Year.
He is the tender of wild animals and is represented by the Sun. Fortunately, we don't need to wait for ritual to be reminded of God's presence, for he is all around us. His symbol is a circle with a crescent on top, like two horns - the symbol of Pan.
Blessed Be

Merry Meet Everyone, As the definitions are recognise at present: All Wiccans ARE Witches. All Witches aren't always Wiccan, and all Wiccans/Witches are Pagan, however Pagans aren't always Wiccans or Witches. In Light and Love, Alawnduin

The Gods / Goddesses are energy, as are we.. The Goddess is the Universe, the womb of all life... The big energy if you like... I speak for myself here, not all Wiccans, but if you personally wish your God or Goddess to have a human form, then that is perfectly acceptable...We visualise better when we have an image in our mind's eye...Blessed Be... )O(

Gods/goddesses are not "real" in the sense of being able to be physically touched by a human. They're more like something to concentrate on when praying/ meditating/ doing a working, etc.

The specific goddess I work with came to ME--she chose me, not the other way around. I've met others who work with her and with other deities who've said the same thing.
Is she real? Does it matter? If believing in her makes me a better person, then that's a good thing even if she's a figment of my imagination.

Faith, but I guess it's more than that with me. I'm an empath and sometimes I see dead people. Sorry if it sounds like I'm crazy but I'm not, at least not in that sense. *giggle* I hear things from them sometimes that make it a little more to me. Also, Pagans, Wiccans and Witches tend to do things like witchcraft and deep meditations that reveal deep inner truths. This also helps me with my faith

I met God and Goddess personally, and have spoken with Them (not just to Them) regularly.

When they talk to you, it's hard to not believe in them. I'm not going to claim that I have long chats on the phone with them - though that may be kinda cool - but I've gotten distinct messages a few times.

Oh, thats easy. IF you believe in god. ask yourself this, how do I know god is real?....this should answer your question. Not only that but if they werent real, how can we scence them? and if they werent real, then who is helping us with our work when we call on them for help? and then there is our history.

Have you seen god? Have you seen any miracles performed? The same way you know your god is real, it's called faith.
