my mother has insurance on me but she didn't have to forge my name to get it. she has a policy on my siblings as well. it's just a big family package where if something were to happen, things would be taken care of. i don't view it as wrong. i view it as being prepared! what if you were a student at virginia tech the other day and had gotten killed? what then? his policy he took out could help with the rearing of your children. you have to look beyond the obvious and see the big picture. i'm sure he didn't get it to harm you but to help you. money can't replace you so there is no real benefit from your demise. he probably can get in trouble but he is your dad. ask him to see a copy of his will so you can see what he has determined should be the dispersal of his fortune. if you or your kids are not listed on the document, then you should raise questions. he may be set up to leave you and your kids his estate. don't jump the gun. investigate deeper first before you make a hasty decision.

OH, he has life insurance on you....Well I would call the insurance carrier and see if there is anything that you can do.
I don't think we are talking about health insurance correct? If you can prove like sending the insurance company your copy of your drivers license and they are see the signature they have on file then perhaps you can nail him for fraud if you Can afford it?

I work for an attorney, and there are some insurances out there who don't need signatures. Seek out the company and find out there policy.

Forging your signature is insurance fraud. Contact the company that gave him the policy and explain it to them.
