John McCain just said, "It is critically important that our party continues to stand on the side of life."
ehhhh....WHAT?!?
Republicans stand on the side of life when they execute prisoners?
Republicans stand on the side of life when they go to war with every country they possibly can?
How could any Republican make that statement with a straight face?
Nice choice of words there. Like any Republican sides with life.
This made me laugh for a good minute, and then I wanted to strangle all of you.
And by "strangle all of you" I mean stand on the side of life.

Side of life means defending the innocent? Feel free to clue me in if I'm actually missing something, but "side of life", to me, means 'protecting life' in this instance with the abortion issues and all.
If it's some phrase I've never heard of then I'd apologize, but I'm not familiar with the phrase outside of today.

Ruth, we don't have any cheerleaders suggesting we're "on the side of life".
And I'd tend to agree that it could go both ways. Letting a mother choose certainly is not in the best interest of the fetus/baby/child/offspring.

I only wish I had selective memory loss then I could forget some things people say that are nonsense.
Anyway lets put it this way josh. I am a conservative. And my take on this is... I am FOR life of the a child who hasnt yet had a chance to live, I am FOR ending the life of someone who has had their chance and ruined their life and ended others.
Maybe you can understand that and maybe you cant. but there IS a difference.

umm, no. And by standing on the side of choice I bet you are just hopping up and down that the left is trying to take away my choice to own a gun. And yes, standing on the side of life, or freedom or what ever you want to call it, does justify taking out regimes like the Taliban and Saddam, but I don't have this leftist view that irregardless of how tyrannical and brutal a nation is, that we in America are at peace, screw them. As a republican I side with life when it is that of a most innocent child, and against it, say when a man rapes and kills a child. I know, its crazy. So I would ask you why you think an innocent child could be killed because it is an inconvenience to the mother and you would want to support through taxes for the rest of his life a monster who commits a crime worthy of the death penalty. And we conservatives aren't the only ones against life, look at Alec Baldwin, calling for the stoning death of a congressman and his family.

Most of the American public wants capital punishment. The Republican Platform was created by the American public.
You're leaving out the fact that capital punishment is only used when an innocent life is taken. This is the same way anti-abortionists view abortion. In effect, the view is basically the same.
The only difference is is that abortion is legal. Otherwise these same people would be up for murder.

thats far too a great number of a conventional question. and fairly frankly, particularly particularly ignorant. its like asking if the white individuals experience responsible approximately slavery interior the 1800. apartheid develop into instituted by a thoroughly diverse technology than who's maximum influential on the 2d. 'are you nonetheless a commie?' do you not be attentive to what got here approximately in south africa in any respect?! judging from you ridiculous question, you very needless to say are not south africa so could desire to fairly do slightly greater learn develop into asking stupid issues. i don't think of that we, as a present day technology of white south africans, could desire to experience responsible yet could desire to fairly study from the blunders that previous generations made so as to not repeat previous atrocities

A con like McCain suffers from the do whatever it takes to be president syndrome which causes a person to say things that directly contradict what was said the day before in front of a different target group.
The regular Joe Sixpack suffers from Faux News brainwashing and years of worker bee drone education that instills blind patriotism, denial of wrongdoing or problems in the USA and a taste for American beer and high fructose corn syrup.

You take the statement out of context, the senator from Arizona was referring to the abortion is sure.
There is a slight difference between the abortion issue, criminal law, and national defense. Let me try to explain this so you have some sort of chance at understanding the distinction. Babies are inherently innocent and cannot protect themselves. They are entirely helpless to the selfish desires of their parents (if you dare call them that). Criminals and Terrorists are what we call guilty people. They have committed heinous crimes and/or tried to blow up Americans. I know this is a hard concept for liberals to understand, they like to protect convicted killers and save their lives, but think destroying innocent babies to spare the mother from minor inconvenience should be encouraged.

Oh yeah, Republicans are a bunch of crazy warmongers, NOT!
More leftist talking points. How boring.
How do you equate late term baby murder with the death penalty again?
OK, sing with me, "all we are saying, is give peas a chance"!
Peas>? Peace?
Do you believe that not confronting evil will bring peace?
How naive.

Republican's also stand for education.... you should try and get one... and please... standing on the side of life is in the context of the innocent and those whom cannot defend themselves. I'll give (2) examples - first, unborn children or even worse partially born children - second, people like you... your lack of intelligence leaves you defenseless to any logical or intelligent debate....

What was the question?
