I actually pierced a 4th hole in my ear (I have 3 in each also) and I pierced my belly button (for the second time, I already have it done). I took both of them out a little while later, just because it looked weird (they didn't get infected).

It's just easier to wait and get them done professionally. It also tends to be a lot safer, sterile and better done by professionals.

Have you ever thought about doing your cartilage? Maybe your mom would be okay with that.

Good luck!

***Also, it's not idiotic to pierce yourself, you just need to know what you are doing. I have pierced both of my brothers ears (they are gauged now) and I've pierced myself. None of them have ever got infected either. It's always best to get it professionally done, but people have been piercing themselves and others for a long time! It's not idiotic.

dont ever peirce ANYTHING yourself. go to a jeweler's or Peircing Pagoda. NOT CLAIRES

Ear piercing instruments, sometimes called ear piercing guns, were originally developed for physician use but with modifications became available in retail settings. Today most people in the Western world have their ears pierced with an ear piercing instrument in specialty jewelry or accessory stores, or at home using disposable ear piercing instruments. An earlobe piercing performed with an ear piercing instrument is often described as feeling similar to being pinched, or being snapped by a rubber band.

An alternative and growing practice is to use a hollow piercing needle, as is used for body piercing. This technique is similar to the early sewing needle approach, but when done by a professional body piercer is extremely safe, less painful than an instrument piercing, and produces a piercing with faster healing time.

I have a friend who pierced their own belly button and got it infected. It was really painful for her for a very long time. Would your mom let you get your cartilage pierced at a piercing place? I've always liked cartilage. And I wouldn't recommend piercing anything on your own, even if you burn the needle. It's just not very safe.

If you are cleaning your ears properly, then you might have a problem with the metal in the earrings. I can only use surgical steal or gold. You could try changing them out but chances are you should just take them out and let them heal. If you think it is an infection, you should definatley go to a doctor. earlobes don't get as much blood flow as other parts of body, so an untreated infection can get pretty serious.

I wouldn't pierce my ears or my bellybutton on my own. Especially if you don't know what you are doing, because it could set up a major infection. My friend tried to pierce her own bellybutton, and she got a bad infection in it and ended up taking it out. If you are dead set on piercing something yourself, go for the ears. Just be sure to sterilize everything that you use. Good Luck!

Imagine if you pierce anything on your own & it turns bad you will get marks on ur belly ears or whatever pemanently. So its ur call risk the bad piercing on ur own wait till u grow up & do it from some good shop.

Beware in efforts to look beautiful you shouldnt make your look rather dirty / ugly.

It is completely idiotic to pierce yourself!!! You could get tetnis, and that WOULD NOT be good. I would recommend that you listen to your mom and stick to the ears until you're 18. I watched a whole show about people who tried to treat themselves, pierce themselves, and give themselves tattoos. ALL of them ended up badly, and I don't think you really would want to take that risk.

You can pierce your own ears but DONT pierce your own belly button. You can be diseased.

If you pierce yourself, chances are you will do it badly! Please remember that exsessive piercing is a turn off. Girls are much more attractive by for what's inside, not what's hanging from the skin.

Leave the belly alone. That is something a pro should do.
