Deaths in Baghdad are down, so Yes, it's working.

Figures compiled by the AP from Iraqi police reports show that 1,586 civilians were killed in Baghdad between the start of the offensive and Thursday.

That represents a sharp drop from the 2,871 civilians who died violently in the capital during the two months that preceded the security crackdown.

YES. It is working, very much so. i just got back 3 weeks ago, and the progress is unbeleivable from when i first arrived on station 18 months ago. It is not in the media cos the media is a bunch of biased liberal idiots an they only want to report the bad. but i will tell you first hand that there is plenty of good you dont an wont hear about, cos the left-wing liberals want us to fail an they think only reporting the bad will turn American public opinion against us, her own troops who are fighting an dying, not for the politics of it, we are not politicians, we are soldiers. thats what soldiers do, they sacrifice for their country, and then go unrecognised for it.
