Bachelor's is the simplest - 4 years (usually) of general education in a variety of fields. The idea is to get you a basic knowledge of a field, or of a variety of areas.
Master's is the next level up - 3-6 years (more or less) of more intensive, specialized study of an area. Usually ends with a thesis project or some other product that indicates that you have 'mastered' (hoho) the particular area of study. You are competent to work semi-independantly.
A doctorate is the highest form of degree available - it takes some years to complete (generally something like 4-7 or so) and ends with a doctoral thesis or equivalent. It essentially prepares you for a career as an independant researcher or mentor in your field.
If you're heading to Med. School, there are several different routes you could take. Talk to your guidance counselor about what you need to do, and write to prospective colleges about what they recommend. Good luck!

It goes in this order, from lowest to highest: bachelors, masters, doctorate.

If you want to become a doctor, you need to get your bachelors degree and then apply to med school to get a MD (type of doctorate). What major you pick doesn't matter, so long as you fulfill all of a med school's required courses. What school you pick doesn't matter either. In general, you want to go to the most prestigious b/c med schools prefer kids who were "challenged" academically and that generally means they went to a prestigious college. There's not really any such thing as a "pre-med school in college".

Bachelor's = 4 years
Master's = Bachelor's + 2 years = 6 years
Doctorate = Bachelor's + Master's + 2 to 4 years = 8 to 10 years

Doctorate is apparantly the highest level of education.
