Ford Powerstroke 1999 or newer, Chevy/ GMC Duramax 2002 or newer (2001 were junk) or a Dodge 2500 2003 or newer. As long as the truck is a diesel (not naturally aspirated) you should be in good shape. the use of a dually would only be for extra stability. the longest lasting diesel on the market for the heavy duty series (not semi's) is the powerstroke and the cummins. Despite what most people think, being a 4X4 does NOT mean it tows more. it actually tows less due to the fact of extra weight (transfer case and front differential).
