This is for people who actually support the man running the United States of America. I know of many reasons that he shouldn't be supported, yet whenever I've run across someone who does...they're never able to tell me a good reason why they do. So, if possible, can anyone tell me why?

This isn't for people who don't support him, I'm really not asking for your input. And to the people who are close-minded, please open up to new ideas, don't bash on other peoples beliefs. And as for the people who are saying they believe his decision to start the war was necessary...tell me why it had to be in Iraq? Especially after he admitted that one of the "hardest parts of his job was to connect Iraq with the War on Terror"?

And P.S., I'm not asking anyone to bash the country or the President...I simply want to know why.

Thank you, so far I've had only one really informative answer. And I respect those reasons, even though I may not believe them myself. Thanks for taking the time and consideration to answer the question.

1. He is the President of the United States of America, Commander-in Chief of our armed forces.
2. He was elected twice into that position. Despite numerous critics the tallies were in. Who knew Gore was so green and that the NRA nailed him against the wall.
3. Momma Bush
4. He stands by his convictions. It takes guts to stand up
against popular opinion.
5. He felt as did others a certain threat against America and
acted on it. (ANY gun or suicide anybody is a weapon of mass destruction, you don't get that now? Chlorine bombs next to wake u up?)
6. He is willing to make mistakes.
7. He puts himself under fire and stays on.
8. He is dealing with way too many chiefs and
too little Indians in his administration.
9. He has not attacked those that attack him
politically (honor & integrity)
10. Last I checked it is his right to invade a country
posing a threat. Is there no more concept of what a
President is and his authority?
11. He is not Bill Clinton. (this may take awhile...)
a. Impeached because he lied during a routine
sexual assault charge during the investigation. Lied again on TV to the world and again to officials. Had he said yes, I am sorry , none of the mess would have come up (excuse the pun).
b. Reports are coming in and have been around that prior to 911 there were threats to USsoil. He ignored.
c. When given the opportunity to get Bin Laden he let him slip away.
d. over 4,000 soldiers died in peacetime under his watch.
(I have sources, and not enough time to finish the alphabet)
12. He is not Hillary Clinton. Talk about a tough spot to be in.
An election season and you are sandwiched between the two most crafty lawyers of modern times.
13. He has not been questioned, querried or approached by legal folks in the know that he has violated any laws. No hearings?? No Supreme court? If he is so bad there would be
so many on that bandwagon your head would spin. None to date. Will there be. Perhaps. Will he lie, no. Did Gonzales, no.
14. My Mother taught me respect and the value of our leaders. My history teachers told me plenty made mistakes.
In my opinion, Iraq first because of Saddam Hussein, the oil production that was stalled and is now financed China among others off the coast Iran in the Persian Gulf, the nuclear issue where Iran is priding their scientific glory and ideas that is for energy? (iran papers u can search engine) Location, Location it's right there. These guys are into Africa too and their vast resources and how they kill for what they want. Bad stuff. A political season brings out all the mud slinging and what better way to distract us than make our President look weak. "They" don't care who it hurts figuring they can fix it when they get back into the White House. NOW these are my strong beliefs. Research and form your own opinions. VOTE please:)))

I support President Bush because I believe he is honestly trying to do what is best for our country. I do not agree with everything he has done but I still support him. I am a strong supporter of Bush's war on terror. The war is the most important issue to me.
At the time we went into Iraq almost everyone seemed to agree it was the right thing to do. Why have people changed their minds? Was it because the fight has been longer and harder than we expected it to be? If what you are doing is right, I do not think you should stop because it is difficult to accomplish.

Here's a few reasons that I support President Bush:
I believe that what is going on in the Middle East is inevitable, and history has taught us that appeasement of our enemies isn't an option. I agree with his stance on gay marriage and abortion. Our economy is doing good despite what some say, and unemployment is down. Home ownership is up, especially among minorities and women. I'm not saying he's perfect by a long shot...I do part with him on some issues, such as immigration. So thumbs down me all ya want lol

I support the office of the President of the United States, no matter who is elected. I don't always agree with their decision, but they are the elected person, so I support them.
This goes for GW, Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Carter, etc.

I don't support our Presidents' decisions, but I am not going to disrespect him either.
And I won't bash this country because of the President.

I like his response to 9/11, I like his plan for SS reform, I like his choices for justices, I like his position on stem-cell research, I like his anti-abortion position, I like that he is a God-fearing Christian, and for the most part I like that he has done this well at keeping the Democrats from swaying him on many issues.
Any other questions?
