I'm not a big handbag person but there's this bag I've been wanting for a very long time.

I just want to know if it would be a better money investment to borrow from the bag, borrow, or steal.com website and then eventually the site would give me a price to buy it after so many months of borrowing.....

OR, if it would just be better to go to the designer store and buy the handbag I want.

the biggest factor you need to determine is how much the bag will cost, and how many times you think you will use it. I have a coach purse that costs $298 and I use it 365 days per year, so I have $0.82 usage for the bag. But if say I only used it say twice a month for a year that's only $12.41 per use.

I personally would just buy the bag at the store. How much does it cost to borrow the bag? And then how much would they offer for you to buy it? Those are the two figures that are more important, because if together they are more than the one time fee at a designer store, i would not waste my money on the loaner and buy the real deal.

You would probably come out better just buying the bag from the designer. At BBS you would have to pay to lease the bag then buy it. And the price may come out to more than you would spend just buying the bag.

Which brand is it?

If it's a Donald J. Pliner, Cole Haan, Brahmin, Helen Welsh, Fiore, those are excellent brands.

T.J. Maxx carries some of these brands at least a 1/2 off.

TOP CINTRIBUTOR: You need more info. A handbag that is $300-$500 will last you forever provided it is leather, alligator, snakeskin, wool, or some good substantial material.

Honestly, I think the dragonfly ruins it. It'll look REALLY dated soon. If you can't afford to make big purchases like these very often (which is fine, neither can I!) you might want to try looking for something a bit more classic. Do they have any similar purses without the gross pink dragonfly? Or maybe a solid leather purse, without the weird signature print (which is pretty tacky looking, in my opinion)? If you're looking for an investment piece, I'd keep looking!

Handbags are in no way an investment. They do not appreciate in value. They are not an asset. And they have next to no resale value.
