depends on the manner in which the moon disappears...
If it just popped out of existance, we would be shot out of orbit, into stellar space, adn the whole planet would become a huge iceball.
If the moon slowly degraded into oblivion, it would reach a point where its mass was not enough to provide centrifugal force sufficient to overcome the earth's gravity, and the moon would be pulled into earth, causing the earth to return to a molten state and a huge increase in mass.
Neither scenario seems very pleasant, best off to just leave the moon alone...

Yes you would remain alive, the water levels would change, there would be no high tides, but the Sun would still cause the tides to rise and fall.
If we live long enough your question will be answered for the Moon is moving futher away from the earth each day, it will take a very long time before it's for enough away that you can tell it be looking up at the Moon.

The moon will be a part of our system for a very, very long time to come. It's slowly pulling away, but won't be pulled out of Earth's orbit for at least 2 billion years.
Tides currently depend on the Sun and the Moon, and at times of full moon or new moon tides are at their highest. Without a moon, the tides will still exist, but will be much more uniform throughout the year than if the moon was still acting on them in conjunction with the sun.
Also of note: as the moon pulls away, the tides we see that are the effect of lunar gravity are slowly decreasing as well. But, in our lifetime, we won't really notice much difference.

Every year the moon grows further away(only 2 milimeters a year). The moon controls the waves of the ocean here on earth. Since we haven't gone without waves in the ocean, we don't completely know what will happen. But one thing is for sure, without the moon to create waves in the ocean, it will effect sea creatures. Some creatures depend on the waves of the ocean to get from place to place. Some kinds of turtles depend on the waves to get to the shore and lay their eggs.
We will just have to wait about 2,000,000,000 or 3,000,000,000 more years and find out!

specific you may stay alive, the water ranges might replace, there may be no extreme tides, however the sunlight might nonetheless reason the tides to upward thrust and fall. If we live long adequate your question would be responded for the Moon is shifting futher far off from the earth each and on a daily basis, it is going to take an quite long term earlier that's for adequate away which you would be able to tell or no longer that's looking up on the Moon.

We may be alive without the moon. The tides will change, and sea creatures will be in deep crap.Without the moon, there would be mo radio waves, no satellite, no nothing to help us pull through the day. The moon is our only satellite, the sun cannot replace it. So without the moon you would not have any t.v, or radio waves to hear sound. Just be lucky you don't have to be here 2 billion years from now, wondering whats going to happen when the moon pulls away to burn up at the sun, or maybe find another planet to be with. So you would hae to say bye bye to Luna, our moon. ~*Alyssa*~

the moon is moveing away from us but we are moveing as well. The only thing that would happen if the moon dissapeared would be that the tides would be different and controlled by the sun

Yes we will be alive, and yes the level of the oceans will become stable everywhere it will be the same with no tides, however those creatures that depend on the tides will suffer.

The wolves and coyotes would stop howling at the moon, the werewolves would no longer bother us, the witches would no longer keep time in lunar months, The Man in the moon would be homeless...

most other answers are true, but the answer i didn't see was that the moon also acts as a shield from space junk that's why the moon has so many craters. (no I'm not joking)
