We are having this war on terror, yet terror is not a physical thing, or place. It cannot be done. When we fought the commies, we were at war with North Korea and Vietnam. When we fought the Nazi's, we were at war with Germany. We did not conduct a war on Nazi's. Terror is an abstraction. Terror is an action, not a place, or a person. So please tell me, how is it we are fighting a war on terror?

We fight them there so we don't fight them here.

The only way they can control the people is to keep them afraid of an enemy that has no borders and wears no uniform.
The people are kept afraid of this enemy so they do not question rights being trampled on, a never ending war, and a corrupt administration.

This is a point I've been trying to make for a long time. You cannot fight a successful war against an enemy you cannot identify. It is impossible to point at someone and say, with absolute certainty, that they hate you enough to try to kill you. And that's not terrorism, anyway - most murders happen because someone hates someone else. Not all murders are terrorist acts.

Terrorism is the act of controlling others through fear. Hence, the word "terror." To terrify. It's not possible to look at someone and say that he or she is a terrorist. Terrorists hide. They're completely invisible... until they don't want to be any more. And that's usually while they're blowing up a lot of people.

The "global war against terrorism" is the Bush administration's understandable but silly reaction to the events of 9/11. On 9/12/01, America wanted the head of Osama bin Laden (as well as various other body parts) on a silver platter. Today, no one cares about him any more. He got away with it. And that's what he wanted.

We are currently fighting the war on terror by occupying Iraq who HAD nothing to do with the war on terror. Unfortunately there is more chaos and death in Iraq than when Saddam was in charge.

The only way we can fight a war on terror is with cooperation from all the countries of the world as potentially terrorists can live anywhere. There must be excellent intelligence and terrorist cells should be attacked and be destroyed as they are identified.

Attacking a sovereign country in the name of the war on terror was the wrong and costly thing to do.

Terror :- Such fear as agitates body and mind; dread; alarm; cause of fear.

Terrorism :- A system of government by terror: intimidation.

Anything can cause terror. In my daughter its when the power goes out and we are in darkness. For my nephew it is Hell raiser. For a parent its anything that may harm there child. Terror is many different things to many different people.

Now terrorism i feel its exactly what Bush is guilty of. His government is performing a system of terror by intimidation towards a nation that did not attack US, did not threaten US, did not commit an act of terror towards the US. So you tell me "how can it be a war on terror when by definition Iraq did not commit an act of terror or terrorism towards the US?"

Good question you have given.

Terrorism is the intentional targeting of innocent (random) civilians for political purposes. Terrorists are those who practice this. It's not that difficult a concept to understand. Hezbollah and Hamas practice terrorism, for instance, because their avoid confronting Israeli military in favor of targeting random civilians. On the other hand, Israeli military targets terrorists, not random civilians, even though occasionally innocent civilians gets caught in the crossfire. But this is also a result of terrorists who use civilians as shields. That in itself may not be exactly terrorism, but it's against the Geneva convention so it's still wrong.

The war on terror is similar to the "war on drugs". It can never be won, therefore it creates a way for the Zionist-occupied government to rob the taxpayer blind and dominate the Middle East so that Israel can rule.

In my opinion, the terrorists are those that support Israel and its quest for oil, media, military, and world domination.

this war clearly started because of 9-11... so I think we should focus on those that did 9-11....

read the 9-11 report... I realy want a war on al-queda...

there are millions of terrorists out there that:

A. don't care about the USA in the least, good or bad

B. live in Africa, south America, former soviet republics, east asia... that had nothing to do with 9-11

Something was needed to for Bush to justify these wars. Sooo, why not an abstract idea!!! That way he can lump anyone and anything that he deems fit into such a catagory!!!!! It is the perfect scape goat.

Terror is radical Islam. Calling me politically incorrect, but its a fact. No other group in the world commits more terrorism. EVERY act recently has been committed by so-called peaceful Muslims. The war on terror is a war over our way fo the life and our respect for life and their lack of respect for our way of life.
