Since our troops and national guard are overseas and we are defenseless....?

Isn't it smart for ordinary citizens to build up an arsenal? Thanks to bush's "ownership" society we have to provide our own protection now. Only commie libs expect the govt to do that for them, right?

We are not defenseless. Only a portion of our soldiers are overseas. Many of them are still here.

You've got a false premise here. The US is not 'defenseless', so your whole question is meaningless.
