Accept yourself

Loving yourself doesn't mean to masturbate, which is an action that leads to depression because it is so unfulfilling and meaningless. Sex is sacred and only with a lawfully wedded spouse can it find any meaning. It is suppose to lead to a baby with a beloved one you have taken as a life partner. Masturbation only can make you hate yourself and you don't know why.

Sex before marriage is cheapening your goods, and making yourself second-hand goods.

How you really love yourself is to treat yourself, and your body, with respect.

God is the one who made you and your body. With this body you will find a spouse one day and live together the life of God who describes himself as a husband (bridegroom, actually) with the human race as his Bride.

Which is why sex is a sacred act, done only according to its Maker's intentions. Anything else than this leads to futility, frustration and depression.

Look at all the people doing it for recreation or for fun or for thrills or getting addicted to it. And they are not happy after that, and they don't know why.

If psychologically that is how your Maker made you, and you don't follow instructions, your life doesn't work.

If you love yourself, you would live a life in accordance with Maker's instructions, which is "stay off sex until you are fully married for keeps and can allow me to give you a baby."

Which is why everything that goes against how you and your body are wired -- masturbation, sex before marriage, contraception (pills, condoms, IUD's) -- goes against your true nature.

You might not believe a word of what I write here. Many people don't. So, the outcome is to slink back into a way of life lower than that of an animal (who don't even masturbate, or kill their young, or have any form of contraception) which is to have no self-control and no respect for marriage.

And then be unhappy and depressed and feel dirty. And don't know why. Everybody is doing it. Let me ask you then, is everybody who is doing it, living on a paradise on earth ?

If you refrain from sex before marriage, and from any activity that goes against the grand plan, you will learn self-control. And self-control is power. And maybe for the first time in your life you will see yourself rise to your full dignity for which you were created.

And then you will find out how to really love yourself.

The first step is to accept yourself for the person you are. Forgive yourself for past mistakes and bad decisions. We all make mistakes, but as long as you learn from them, then it's a part of life. Don't focus on the negative things about yourself, focus on your strengths and abilites that make you unique. Focus on your positive personality traits and love yourself for who you are....because you aren't the same as everyone else and that's a good thing. You are an individual and your personality and strengths as well as weaknesses make up who you are as a person. You have to learn to love yourself, respect yourself and accept yourself before you can do the same for someone else. Take care and write down all those positives and be proud of who you are.
