It is possible that our universe is one giant black hole. The universe would have to be about 2.5 times more massive than scientists currently believe it is for this to be true.

A black hole that large COULD have an average density less than that of instellar space.

Dude, are you kidding. Take basic physics, learn what a black hole really is, why you cannot exist in one...you know what, you probably can't read so I'll just tell you.

The gravitational pull in a black hole is so great, you (and molecules and light) are crushed into an infinitely small speck of energy. You become energy because of the equation E = mc^2, read up on it, yes that's really what happens. So, unless you are pure energy, and I take it that because we are communicating you are not pure energy, thus we are not in a black hole. Space is not an illusion, it is interwoven with time and gravity (theories of general & special relativity) and thus defined.

It is possible that our universe started as a black hole, quoting Wikipedia "For example, matter that falls into a black hole in our universe could emerge as a Big Bang, starting another universe." As for all the people who claim to "know" what a black hole is, science in actuality knows very VERY little about the nature of black holes. They might speculate, but they know incredibly little. So your idea has merits, and some people in the scientific community to say that we are living in a 5 dimensional black hole. Its also possible that black holes are infact wormholes, a rip in the fabric where you emerge in another dimension or in a different place in our universe. We just don't know, and anyone who claims to is kidding themselves.

if we did get hit with a black hole... you wouldnt know it.. it would pull the earth into it.. streatching it for miles while snaping it into little parts while each part was streatching for miles and breaking it again and so on and so on. until you had nothing but energy waves to fire back off into the universe to make a new start some place else

If we were in a black hole we would probably be an extremely dense mush of subatomic particles. And we wouldn't be able to see anything.

.If you believe that hitting a black hole may distort the time line some how it may be possible to justify your point of view.
