I went to London from Italy 4 times to see it. I think that Earl Carpenter, Michael Xavier, Celia Graham, Katie Knight-Adams, Wendy Ferguson, Rohan Tickell, Heather Jackson and all the others are wonderful!!!!!!
They do not only think about singin... they take care of the acting too.

no i am afraid i have not seen the stage version in london. I went to our local theatre and watched it and it was supposed to be the same as london but with a different cast. It was really good. I would love to go to London to see it but it is expensive.
My daughter thinks the best phantom was michael crawford.
She does not like Sarah Brightman much though.

I have seen the film version and i really enjoyed it but i would really love to see the stage show.

My daughter and i both know the words off by heart from watching the video so many times and i love gerard butlers voice. My favourite bit is when he sings stranger than you dreamt it etc etc. I love the passion and anger in his voice.
I also think he is a good actor as he has played so many parts and has made them all different a sign of a brilliant actor.

I dont know about the name of the cast. I have the soundtrack, which feature the voice of Sarah Brightman, she sings very well as Christine.
Sadly, when I start working and earn enough for a seat to watch The Phantom of the Opera in London, it was a different actress as Christine.

Sorry, I know nothing about the current Broadway cast (if it's playing at all). As for the movie, I was impressed with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum. From what I understand they did their own singing.

They weren't as good as Michael Crawford or Sarah Brightman, but then again, who is?

Forget the film, just go and watch the show in the theatre. There is no comparison. The cast sing with heart and feeling. It was one of the best shows I have seen at the theatre in years.
