To be quite frank, I don't think men have anywhere near the amount of pressure that woman have on them to look good.

Other way around, my friend. It's women who are pressured to look good by men. Have you ever listened to what men say when an overweight or unattractive woman walks by?
I've never heard my female friends do that when a man walks by.

Well, everyone is pressured to look good nowadays because our society is so shallow. Who wants to date a really ugly person?

Most people should look for personality. But most of the population seems shallow so if we dont look good, we wont get as far in life as someone who does.

everyone puts pressure on everything to look good, its in our nature, and by the way its not just women. everyone likes to look good, and u get the message that you have to look your best. it does matter whats on the inside however it also matters whats on the outside, you dont want to walk into a fancy restaurant with some cut offs on!

Media doesn't do it, men do it. Women will only accept a good looking guy, that's a well known fact. So all of the so-so people go out of their way to look their best all of time, and the not good looking people commit suicide or give up. Take it from me, I used to be one of the uglies, then I moved to so-so. I know all sides of the track now, and none of the grass is green.
