I really like soft rock and I'd really like some idea for the top artists or even just favorite singles of your favorite artist. Thank you!

There are a bunch of good soft rock artists. You named two of them (sorry, but @$$-monkey Michael Bolton is seven shades of terrible). Here are some other groups that do good soft rock tunes:

Air Supply (anything)
Alan Parsons Project (Eye in the Sky, Don't Answer Me)
Al Stewart (Time Passages, Year of the Cat)
America (anything)
The Bellamy Brothers (Let Your Love Flow)
Bob Seger (Against the Wind, Night Moves, We Got Tonight)
Bread (anything)
Carly Simon (anything)
The Carpenters (anything)
Cat Stevens (anything)
Chicago (various songs -- check out compilation CDs)
Chris Isaak (Wicked Game)
The Eagles (Desperado, Love Will Keep Us Alive, etc.)
Dan Fogelberg (anything)
England Dan & John Ford Coley (anything)
Fleetwood Mac (Dreams, Sara, You Make Lovin' Fun)
Firefall (Love Will Find a Way)
Gary Wright (Dream Weaver)
Genesis (Hold on My Heart, In Too Deep)
The Hollies (The Air That I Breathe)
Jackson Browne (The Pretender, Tender is the Night)
James Taylor (anything)
Kenny Loggins (Danny's Song, Return to Pooh Corner)
Little River Band (Cool Change, Lady)
The Moody Blues (Tuesday Afternoon, Nights in White Satin)
Mike & The Mechanics (Living Years, Taken In)
Paul Simon/Simon and Garfunkel (anything)
Phil Collins (Another Day in Paradise, Take Me Home)
Player (Baby Come Back)
Poco (Crazy Love)
Pure Prairie League (Amie)
Seals and Crofts (Diamond Girl, We May Never...)
Toni Braxton (Unbreak My Heart)

If I think of any more I'll let you know...

Hmm... my mom used to listen to soft rock. Here are some of the artists that I heard on long road trips:
Chicago, Journey, the Police, George Michael, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, John Secata, Phil Colins, Gloria Estaban, Celine Dion, the Bee Gees, Josh Groban, Christina Aguilara, Corinne Bailey Rae... I can't think of anymore but you can start there. Go to Yahoo Music and put in soft rock. You can find more once you get to know the artists.

My idea of soft rock & yours is probably a bit different. But I'd suggest that you might like any of the Metal Unplugged CDs. The acoustic versions are actually very beautiful.
