Actually, I have. Gun control works in every civilized society where it is tried. Now, I'm not going to suggest that any culture as barbaric as the US is remotely ready to try the idea; after all, most Americans don't even have the foggiest notion about table manners. However, I would love to see strict gun control laws enforced just for the pleasure of seeing the police remove all those weapons from all those cold dead hands of idiot, fascist Americans such as the drooling inbreds who are jumping up and down and getting all agitated just because you asked the question. Gun control enforcement would lead to a "Night of the Long Knives" for both the NRA and the Republicans...the right's numbers would be decimated. The time for strict gun control is NOW.

Gun control works in countries where people obey the law, and respect the government. Like Sweden, UK, Belgium, Japan, Australia...

Guns are illegal in Mexico, but drug cartels are still rumbling in the streets with AK-47's.

Government is powerless, no matter how many laws are on the books, if people don't have respect for law and order.
America has a long tradition of banning things (Drugs, Alcohol, prostitution), people just break the law, do it, and rub it in Government's face.

Right American has the worst gun violence rate. That is just ridiculous. Aside from the fact that you do not list a source for your information, do guns really kill more people in American than they do in places like the Sudan. I think not.

If you can present information form a legitimate source that supports your claim, I will believe it but not until then.

you're completely authentic. we'd desire to continually in basic terms ignore gun administration and arm absolutely everyone. i think of u . s .'s gun administration regulations might desire to resemble Somalia's or Afghanistan's gun administration regulations. it would be plenty extra useful for this u . s . if loopy, murderous psychos might have get right of entry to to totally computerized attack weapons with armor piercing bullets. Get the sarcasm right here? how a lot of those crimes in England have been gun appropriate? What with regard to the incontrovertible fact that the entire u . s . of england had somehwere around 60 gun deaths and long island city had around 500-six hundred in one twelve months? The Chechens are a insurrection military/terrorist team and the mayor of Nagasaki grow to be killed by using the mob. those human beings do no longer obey any regulations! Your information are fallacious and in straight forward terms a fool might actually think of you have a valid argument.

did it work in VA. I don't think so. Take away the second amendment and you might as well take away all of them. Besides do you really think that if guns were banned there would not be a march on Washington to the likes that we have never seen. Don't forget a lot of Dem's are union workers that vote democrat and vote that way because their union says to but alot are also gun owners. This is what Bill Clinton credited to losing control of congress in 1994. Learn what the second amendment stands for before you discredit it. Why not blame the person who did this instead of the tools he used to do it. If he could not get guns he would have used different methods.

You'll have to be specific, there are many places such as Canada that have much more relaxed gun laws, and many more guns per person ... that per capita have a 50th of the gun violence that we do..

No America has something else going on in her collective Psyche

So what happens when their is a banning of guns and a maniac somehow gets his hands on a gun. And what if their is a military Coup then what? Total chaos. We need guns. We want guns, we have the right to bear arms, and we bear them.

Uh have you looked at Austrailia? They had all citizens turn in their guns and guess who did and who didn't. Now guess what also happened they got a higher crime rate and those criminal used guns. Taking away guns from American citizens will only help those who one choose not to turn in their guns and two you gun control idiots. I will not turn in my guns I have obtained them legally and will use them if need be to protect my family it is my right as a citizen and I will not allow it to be taken without a fight and if you don't like it you can kiss my gun toten white a**

I see the opposite; criminals obtain weapons that regular patrol officers can't use. The black market makes sure of that! Ever been to the northside of Dublin? Scary as Hades. Unsafe for everyone. However, I do believe in responsible gun ownership, not just uzis for all.

Are you kidding me? Instead of saying that we should ban guns, why don't we encourage more responsible people to take classes and earn a concealed weapons permit? I submit that if there were more responsible people carrying firearms, crime, of all types, would drop substantially.

Imagine if one in every fifteen people carried a concealed weapon. Consider what the outcome of the Virginia Tech massacre could have been if just two of those students were carrying a firearm.

All crime would go down! If one in every fifteen people carried a fire arm, all criminals would think twice before committing a crime. Consider the rapist, or the thief, who knows that there is a one in fifteen chance that his/her victim is carrying a gun.

Look at the States with the lowest crime rates vs. percentage of gun ownership. “States with the largest increases in gun ownership also have the largest drops in violent crimes.” (John R. Lott Jr. - “More Guns Less Crime”) About 80 percent, or more, of my neighbors own at least one firearm. There has not been a robbery, or murder, or shooting, in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember. “When states passed these [Concealed Weapons Permit] laws, the number of multiple-victim shootings DECLINED by 84 percent. Deaths from these shootings plummeted on average by 90 percent and injuries by 82 percent.” (John R. Lott Jr. - “More Guns Less Crime”)

When reflecting on the Virginia Tech massacre I was suddenly very grateful to know that one of my close friends carries a concealed weapon.

This is a matter of being able to protect oneself in case of a crisis. It is for events like the Virginia Tech massacre that the second amendment was written. We as a people must be able to protect ourselves when something like this happens. Taking away our guns WILL NOT help.
