Because many of the modern day idiots are too afraid to write a song about rainbows, even though they are beautiful and mystical. In toyday's society, rainbows are closely associated with homosexuality, and some idiots believe that if they write a song about a rainbow, they'll be called gay. It's really stupid thinking, and if someone wanted to call another person Gay just for writing a song about rainbows, they can report to me about it, and I'll teach them a lesson.

You've inspired me to write a song about rainbows. Maybe I'll send it to you when I'm done.

Because rainbows don't sell records.
Country music sings about cheating, drinking, rodeo, good ole boys and jail.
Pop sings about crushes and love.
Rock is way to dark - if they put a rainbow in it I don't think you'd like the way that it was used (however they do rip off the wings of a butterfly).
Rap (don't listen to much) is more about idk - shooting people, life is hard, bad women (probably more than that - like I said, I don't really listen to rap)
Blues is the blues
Try christian music - maybe you can find them there.
