Its 57 degree's outside and for North Dakota that is fairly nice this time of year and I never thought I'd say this being from the south, but I am so glad its "warm" [lol] anyhow my question is do you think if I took my plants {most deemed tropical} outside for a few hours they'd be okay? I keep my home at 70 degrees during the winter and no AC during the summer {dont need it here}

Dragon Tree
Gold Dust Croton
Mexican Palm

Are just a few I'd be putting outside for a few hours also a bonsi

It would be fine for them, but take them in before it drops below 40F. Also, don't water them their first day out, espeically if it's windy.

Tropicals aren't happy below 60 degrees plus you risk sun burning them from the higher light intensity.

Generally if they are doing well inside, leave them there. Taking them outside exposes them to new buggies and diseases. Speaking of which......IF your plants have buggies indoors (I'm thinking of the croton which is a spider mite haven), you can take them outside, into the shade and treat them. While they dry, clean up indoors. Then move them back.
